Cherry Blossom Midwives – Taber, Alberta
Full-Time Permanent Position | Flexible Start Date
Cherry Blossom Midwives is seeking a Registered Midwife (General Registrant) to join our thriving rural practice in Taber, Alberta.
This is an exciting opportunity to practise full-scope midwifery in a supportive, collaborative rural environment where midwives are highly valued members of the maternity care team. Our practice offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, client-centred care while working within a community that strongly supports physiologic birth and midwifery-led care.
About Us
Cherry Blossom Midwives is an established rural practice serving families in Taber and the surrounding communities. Midwives in the Taber area support approximately 60% of births both in and out of hospital, with strong, long-standing relationships with clients, families, and local healthcare providers.
Our primary birth site is Taber Health Centre, where we maintain excellent relationships with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff. We work within a collaborative environment that supports evidence-based care, client choice, and the full scope of registered midwifery practice.
Our community has a strong culture of physiologic birth, and we serve many large families from surrounding communities, including Mennonite and Hutterite populations. We have a high volume of water births and a strong out-of-hospital birth rate, allowing midwives to fully utilize their skills while supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
