Hello. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Throughout my birth journey I received an amazing holistic care from my midwife Anna Gimpel at the St. Albert Community Midwives. My baby was born in Jan 2025:) From day one Anna prioritized my physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and even made sure that my partner was included. We quickly made a connection that was build on trust which was easy to do because of her incredible medical expertise and humane approach. She helped me build my confidence and empowered me as a human being which I believe will stay with me for life. She has influenced me to trust myself to make decisions that were best for me and my baby by providing wealth of wisdom and words of encouragement so that I could make a well informed decision. Always reassuring me that I know what’s best for me and my baby. Presenting various options with details rather than forcing them on me. During my pregnancy her services included regular routine assessment, blood work, ultrasounds and connection with other healthcare professionals. I had a beautiful water birth at home which I never thought I would be able to handle but I was able to do this because of Anna. When my baby was born she provided postpartum care for 6 weeks which included home visits and guidance on breastfeeding, mental supports and newborn care. She even offered to do my routine pap test which I was happy to do without leaving my home. My family is forever grateful to Anna for her compassion, empathy and professionalism. I recommend the services of a midwife because of my wonderful experience. Take care and thank you.
