Registered Midwife – General Registrant

Foothills Midwifery is seeking a General Registrant Registered Midwife to join our team in beautiful High River, Alberta.
This is a fully funded M-ARP hourly-rate position, offering the opportunity to practise in a supportive, collaborative model with a sustainable shift-based schedule.
About Us
Foothills Midwifery is fully integrated within the High River Maternity Clinic, one of Alberta's longest-standing collaborative maternity care models. Our midwives work alongside family physicians to provide early pregnancy loss, prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. We also enjoy excellent relationships with our obstetric, nursing, lactation, anesthesia, pediatric, emergency, and allied health colleagues, allowing us to provide exceptional, evidence-based care to families throughout the Foothills region.
The High River Maternity Clinic is committed to keeping rural maternity services accessible. We serve families from a wide catchment area including High River, Okotoks, Diamond Valley, Nanton, Claresholm, Vulcan, Pincher Creek, and surrounding rural communities. We value respectful, interdisciplinary care and foster a team environment built on collaboration, innovation, and mutual support.
What We Offer

Shared call responsibilities within a supportive team using a shift-based schedule that includes clinic shifts and 24-hour in-hospital call shifts

Qualifications
Applicants must:
Be eligible to practise as a Registered Midwife in Alberta
Have a passion for rural maternity care
Demonstrate excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Value collaborative, interdisciplinary practice
Be committed to providing evidence-based, client-centred care
Be excited to work in a dynamic rural environment where full-scope skills, critical thinking, neonatal management, triage, and collaboration are essential
Rural practice experience is considered an asset but is not required.
