Alberta Association of Midwives Appoints Visionary Leader to Lead its Future 

Exciting News: Welcome Our New Executive Director, Jennifer Gullage-Payne! 

The Alberta Association of Midwives (AAM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jennifer Gullage-Payne as its new Executive Director, effective January 2, 2024. This significant milestone marks a pivotal moment for AAM as it continues to advance its mission and commitment to excellence in midwifery care across Alberta. 

Jennifer Gullage-Payne brings with her an impressive background, boasting 16 years of experience in senior management positions within the non-profit sector, including 13 years as an Executive Director. Her proven leadership, coupled with a deep understanding of organizational governance, financial management, and strategic development, positions her as an ideal fit for the goals of the AAM. 

About Jennifer Gullage-Payne: 

Jennifer currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of Ridge Country Housing, drawing upon her extensive experience as an Executive Director and Crisis Intervention Worker. Previous roles include Executive Director positions with BGC Lethbridge and the Safe Haven Women’s Shelter Society. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Religious Studies, along with a Project Management Certificate. 

Professional Highlights: 

  • Visionary leadership with a focus on strategic direction, budget management, and innovation in fund development. 

  • Proven ability in program and project management, including change management strategies. 

  • Exceptional skills in human resource management and building successful work teams. 

  • Extensive experience in oral and written communications, grant writing, and community partnerships. 

  

As Jennifer assumes her role on January 2, 2024, the AAM is dedicated to ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining continuity in its mission.
